- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 425 degrees Fahrenheit (220 degrees Celsius).

Take a 9x13 inch baking dish and grate the outer layer of half a lemon, extracting its juice in the process - about 1/4 cup will be obtained. Combine this with the grated lemon peel, oregano, minced garlic, oil, salt, and pepper in the dish. Stir everything together until it is well combined.

Carefully remove the skin from your chicken pieces and discard it. Then, coat each piece of chicken evenly with the lemon mixture you've prepared.

Place the coated chicken pieces, bone-side up, in your 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover the dish with a lid and bake it for 20 minutes.
