Ingredients
- 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated buttermilk biscuit dough (such as Pillsbury®)
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
Instructions
1
Collect all necessary items, including food and baking supplies.
2
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius, if using a different scale). Place a baking sheet in the oven to heat up as well. Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
3
Take the biscuits out of their container and split them in half lengthwise, resulting in a total of 10 individual pieces. Arrange 5 biscuits on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one. Place a handful of blueberries on top of 5 biscuits, covering them completely.
4
Place the remaining 5 biscuits on top of the blueberries to create a layered effect. Put the baking sheet in the oven and bake until the biscuits are golden brown, taking anywhere from 18 to 22 minutes. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
5
In a small bowl, mix together confectioners' sugar, lemon juice, and the grated zest of a lemon until well combined. Brush the tops of 5 biscuits with half of this glaze mixture, allowing it to set for about 5 minutes.
6
Repeat the process with the remaining half of the glaze mixture, brushing it onto the tops of the other 5 biscuits. Once you've finished, enjoy your delicious treats
