Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) package sweet potato vermicelli (glass noodles)
- 1/2 cup boiling water
- 1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
1
Divide the noodles into manageable portions and place them in a large, deep container. Submerge the noodles in hot water from the tap and allow them to rehydrate for 10 minutes.
2
In a separate process, combine boiling water, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a 2-cup liquid container. Whisk the mixture until it's well combined.
3
Once the noodles have rehydrated, drain them and transfer them to a serving dish. Pour the soy sauce mixture over the top of the noodles, allowing it to infuse for 2 minutes.
4
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add the noodles and soy sauce mixture to the skillet, stirring constantly until they're hot and well combined. This should take approximately 5 minutes.
5
Transfer the noodles and sauce to individual serving bowls, topping them with a sprinkle of sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.
