  • 1 large head cabbage, cut into small wedges
  • 1 pound Polish kielbasa

Sear the bacon in a substantial skillet over a moderately high heat level until it reaches a rich brown color, flipping it once.

Transfer the bacon to paper towels for further drying and set aside.

Combine the onions, water, sugar, caraway seeds, garlic, red pepper flakes, and seasoned salt in the pan with the reserved bacon drippings. Introduce the cabbage into the mixture and stir it gently.

Cover the skillet and cook over a lower heat level for 10 to 15 minutes.

Add the kielbasa to the pan. Continue cooking, covered, for an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
