  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon dried marjoram

Season the dish with salt and pepper to taste. Introduce tomato paste into the pot, stirring it in thoroughly. Add water, minced garlic, and cumin to the mixture. Gradually decrease the heat to a low simmer and cover the pot with a lid. Continue to cook, occasionally stirring the contents, until the meat becomes extremely tender, at least 1 1/2 hours.
