Ingredients
- 1 pound sirloin steak
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, divided
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced into thin strips
- 8 ounces baby bella mushrooms, sliced
- freshly cracked salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
- 2 12-inch prepared keto pizza crusts
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 8 slices provolone cheese, cut into strips
Instructions
1
Prepare the steak for cooking by placing it in the refrigerator about 30 minutes prior to its intended use.
2
Melt a generous amount of butter in a large skillet over high heat, stirring occasionally, until it reaches a smooth consistency. Add the onion and sprinkle with salt, then sauté for 4 minutes, stirring frequently to prevent burning. Add a tablespoon of oil to the skillet along with the bell pepper and mushrooms, and continue cooking until they are tender, about 8 minutes. Remove the vegetables from the skillet and set them aside to cool.
3
Clean the skillet thoroughly and allow it to come to room temperature.
4
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
5
Remove the steak from the refrigerator and slice it into very thin strips. Season the steak with freshly cracked salt, pepper, and garlic powder for added flavor.
6
Add another tablespoon of oil to the skillet and heat it over high heat. Carefully drop the seasoned steak pieces into the hot oil, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. Cook until the meat is no longer pink, about 5 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and drain any excess oil.
7
Place two pizza crusts on pieces of aluminum foil or baking sheets, depending on their weight and fragility. Spread a generous amount of sour cream over each crust, followed by 1 teaspoon of minced garlic and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese. Top each crust evenly with the steak, followed by the vegetable mixture. Finish each pizza by sprinkling Provolone cheese pieces on top.
8
Bake in the preheated oven until the cheese has melted nicely and the edges of the crust are golden brown, about 10 minutes.
