  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 5 green onions, chopped, white and green parts separated
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon chili-garlic sauce (such as sriracha)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • sea salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 (14 ounce) package coleslaw mix
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat, allowing it to warm up for a few minutes. Add diced onion and white parts of the green onions, along with minced garlic, to the skillet. Cook until the onion becomes translucent and the garlic emits a fragrant aroma, approximately 5 minutes pass.

Next, add ground beef, adding a spicy kick from the sriracha, along with grated ginger, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir constantly until the beef turns brown and crumbly, taking around 5 minutes.

Now, combine coleslaw mix, soy sauce, and cider vinegar into the beef mixture. Continue to stir until the coleslaw is tender and has absorbed the flavors, approximately 4 minutes more. Finally, garnish with the remaining green onions.
