  • 1/2 cup plain kefir
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1/3 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

Combine the flour, kefir, egg, sugar, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing container to create a uniform mixture.

Preheat a non-stick cooking vessel over a moderate heat setting. Melt oil in the preheated skillet. Pour 1 to 2 tablespoons of the batter into the skillet for each pancake. Allow the mixture to simmer until it develops a network of tiny bubbles on its surface, approximately 2 to 3 minutes. Flip the pancake over and cook until it has developed a rich brown color on its other side, an additional 2 to 3 minutes. Continue with the remaining batter.
