  • 1 (16 ounce) package Johnsonville® Italian Ground Sausage
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 2 (15 ounce) containers ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Begin by heating a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the sausage, onion, and garlic until the pork is fully cooked and the onion is soft; remove from heat and drain excess liquid. Add marinara sauce and oregano to the skillet, allowing it to simmer for 5 minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, egg, 1/4 cup of Parmesan and spinach to create a creamy filling.

Next, grease a 13-in. x 9-in. x 2-in. baking dish and spread 1 cup of the meat sauce evenly across the bottom. Arrange 3 cooked noodles on top of the sauce, followed by a layer of the ricotta cheese mixture. Add another 1 cup of meat sauce and sprinkle with 1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese. Repeat this process three times, finishing with a layer of meat sauce and 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese on top.

Finally, place the baking dish in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
