Italian Meat Manicotti Casserole

  • 1 pound rigatoni pasta
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound Italian sausage
  • 1 (8 ounce) can mushrooms, drained
  • 2 (32 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
  • 1 1/2 pounds shredded mozzarella cheese
  • thinly sliced pepperoni

Preheat your oven to a high temperature of three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit, or one seventy-five degrees Celsius.

Fill a large container with water and add a small amount of salt. Bring the water to a rolling boil, then carefully pour in your rigatoni pasta.

Allow the pasta to cook for approximately eight to ten minutes, or until it reaches the desired level of doneness. Remove the pasta from the water with a strainer and set it aside for now.

In a separate cooking vessel, heat some oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and Italian sausage to the pan and cook until they are nicely browned.

Using a spoon, transfer the cooked beef and sausage to a baking dish. Add some sliced mushrooms, spaghetti sauce, and the previously cooked pasta to the baking dish.

Sprinkle shredded cheese and pepperoni slices over the top of the pasta mixture. Then, place the baking dish in your preheated oven.

Allow the cheese and pasta mixture to bake for around twenty minutes, or until it is golden brown and bubbly.
