- 1 (16 ounce) jar marinara sauce
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
- 1 (9 ounce) package refrigerated or fresh cheese tortellini
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Preheat a substantial pan over high heat to initiate the cooking process. Cook and constantly stir ground beef and Italian sausage in the hot pan until it becomes crumbly and has a rich brown color, approximately 10 minutes. Discard the excess.

Combine ground meats, marinara sauce, tomatoes, and mushrooms in a large cooking vessel designed for slow cooking. Cover the container and cook on Low heat setting for 7 to 8 hours.

Add tortellini to the marinara meat sauce mixture. Sprinkle with a blend of mozzarella and Cheddar cheese. Cover the container again and cook on Low heat setting until tortellini is tender, around 15 additional minutes.
