  • 3/4 cup JIF® Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cup Butter Flavor CRISCO® Stick
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 3/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt

Preheat your oven to a medium-hot temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Prepare the surface where cookies will cool by laying down sheets of aluminum foil.

In a large mixing container, combine the brown sugar, Jif peanut butter, shortening, milk, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer to blend the ingredients on a medium speed until they are thoroughly combined.

Add one egg to the mixture and blend just enough to merge the two.

In a separate mixing container, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the blended ingredients and mix on a low speed until just combined.

Scoop rounded tablespoonfuls of cookie dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.

Use a fork to flatten the cookies slightly in a crisscross pattern.
