Ingredients
- 1 (14 ounce) package frozen waffle fries
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning
- 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 cup sliced jalapeno peppers
- 3 leaves romaine lettuce, chopped
- 3 tablespoons sour cream, or to taste
- 3 tablespoons guacamole, or to taste
Instructions
1
Heat your oven to the highest temperature setting, 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
2
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange waffle fries in an even layer.
3
Place the waffle fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and bake until they reach a light golden hue, 12 to 20 minutes.
4
While the fries are baking, cook and stir ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it is browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Remove excess grease from the skillet. Add taco seasoning and continue cooking for an additional 1 to 2 minutes.
5
Transfer the baked waffle fries to a 9x13-inch baking dish. Spread the seasoned ground beef evenly over the fries. Cover the beef with cheese.
6
Return to the oven and continue baking until the cheese has melted, approximately 5 minutes.
7
Finish your dish by garnishing with tomatoes, olives, jalapeños, and lettuce. Serve with dollops of sour cream and guacamole on top
