Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 artichokes, trimmed and stemmed
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Combine water, minced garlic, and a bay leaf in the pressure cooker. Add salt to taste. Place a steamer basket inside the pot and add artichokes, with their trimmed tops facing upwards. Drizzle a squeeze of fresh lemon juice over the artichokes. Close and secure the lid. Set the pressure cooker to high pressure, following the manufacturer's guidelines for time and temperature. Allow 10-15 minutes for the pressure to build up.

Release the pressure slowly using the quick-release method, as instructed by the manufacturer, taking around 5 minutes. Remove and set aside the lid.

Let the pressure cooker cool down until it's easy to handle. Using your fingers, gently pull off the outer petals one by one. Use your teeth to carefully remove the soft portion of each petal, discarding the remaining part. Remove the fuzzy center near the stem and discard it. Enjoy your artichokes, either whole or cut into bite-sized pieces.
