Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups dry kidney beans
Instructions
1
Place a generous serving of dried beans into the versatile pressure cooking vessel, taking care not to overfill it. Next, add a few inches of chilled water to the container, ensuring that the beans are completely submerged. Securely close and lock the lid of the pressure cooker to create a tight seal.
2
Using the manual mode, set the timer according to the manufacturer's guidelines for 28 minutes on high pressure. Allow a considerable amount of time, typically between 10 to 15 minutes, for the pressure inside the cooker to build up.
3
Once the pressure has built up, utilize the natural-release method as specified by the manufacturer's instructions to release the pressure over a period of 10 to 40 minutes. This will enable you to carefully control the rate at which the pressure is released.
4
After the pressure has been released, unlock and remove the lid of the pressure cooker. Proceed to drain the cooked beans and let them cool down to room temperature before serving.
