Place chicken breasts in a versatile pressure cooking device, such as an Instant Pot. Add water to the pot and sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken for added flavor. Close the lid securely and make sure it is locked in place.

Follow the manufacturer's guidelines to set high pressure, then set a timer for 20 minutes. Allow about 10-15 minutes for the pressure to build up.

To release the pressure, use the quick-release method as instructed by the manufacturer and wait for approximately 5 minutes. Once done, unlock the lid and carefully remove it.
