Instant Pot Coconut Oil Popcorn

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup unpopped popcorn
  • salt to taste

Turn on your pressure cooker, which is designed for multiple tasks, and choose the Sauté option. As soon as the display shows that your pot is heated up, pour in some coconut oil and let it warm up completely.

Next, add the popcorn kernels to the pot and use a rubber spatula to mix them around until they're evenly coated. Wait for 30 seconds and then stir again; at this stage, the kernels should be making a loud sizzling noise.

Now, cover your pot with its glass lid and cook for 5 minutes. Switch to the non-Sauté mode and let it sit until all the kernels have stopped popping, approximately 1 minute later.

Transfer the cooked popcorn to a large bowl and sprinkle it with some salt.
