  • 4 whole cloves, or more to taste
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cardamom seeds
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 4 black tea bags, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar, or to taste

Boil water in a saucepan until it reaches a rolling boil; add sliced fennel, whole cloves, and ground cardamom to the water. Simmer for 3 minutes.

Next, add milk to the boiling water and continue to cook until it starts to thicken; then, return the mixture to a gentle simmer. Add tea bags to the water and reduce the heat to a low setting, allowing it to cook for 2-3 minutes or until the tea reaches your desired level of strength.

Once the tea has finished cooking, pour it into 4 individual tea cups; then, add sugar to taste according to your personal preference.
