Holiday Spiced Tea
Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1 (1 inch) piece cinnamon stick
  • 6 tea bags (such as LiptonĀ®)
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

Fill a large container with water and add whole spices, specifically the dried flower bud of the tree Clove and a thin branch from the evergreen tree Cinnamon. Place the container over high heat, allowing the water to reach its boiling point; then remove it from the heat source.

Add tea bags to the water and let it sit for a period of time, allowing the flavors to infuse into the liquid until it reaches your desired level of strength, at least 5 minutes.

Carefully remove and discard the spices and tea bags from the water.

Combine freshly squeezed juice from the orange, granulated sugar, pineapple juice, and lemon juice in a cooking vessel; place it over high heat, allowing the mixture to reach its boiling point.

Stir the juice mixture constantly until the sugar has fully dissolved and is no longer visible.
