Hoisin Glazed Pork Chops
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 3 tablespoons honey, or to taste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 bunches green onions, cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 8 pork chops
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch, or as desired
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Heat the oven to its highest temperature setting, which is 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
2
Combine the oyster sauce, Dijon mustard, hoisin sauce, ginger, honey, and soy sauce in a mixing bowl until they are fully incorporated; then add the green onions to the mixture and stir well.
3
Transfer about one-quarter of this sauce mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish and arrange the pork chops in a single layer on top of it.
4
Pour the remaining sauce mixture over the pork chops, ensuring they are completely covered.
5
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake until the pork chops reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), which is indicated by them no longer being pink in the center and the juices running freely. This process should take 30 to 40 minutes, during which time you may need to baste the chops once or twice.
6
Remove the liquid from the baking dish and transfer it to a saucepan.
7
Turn on the oven's broiler setting and place the pork chops underneath it until they are nicely caramelized and browned, taking about 1 to 2 minutes.
8
Mix the cornstarch with water in a small bowl and whisk it into the pan juices.
9
Set the saucepan over medium heat and bring the sauce to a simmer, whisking constantly until it thickens, taking about 1 to 2 minutes.
10
Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste, then serve it alongside the pork chops.
