Ingredients
- cooking spray
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/3 cup low sodium teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon chile-garlic sauce, or to taste
- 3 pounds chicken wings, cut apart at joints, wing tips discarded
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a medium-high temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit (or 190 degrees Celsius, if you prefer). Next, lightly coat a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray to prevent the chicken wings from sticking.
2
In a separate bowl, combine and blend together hoisin sauce, teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and a spicy chili-garlic sauce to create a savory marinade.
3
Arrange the chicken wing pieces on the prepared baking sheet in an even layer. Using a pastry brush, generously coat each chicken wing with the marinade mixture.
4
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake until the chicken wings are cooked through, meaning they are no longer pink in the center. This should take around 20 to 25 minutes on each side, with every 15 minutes you'll need to baste the chicken wings to keep them moist and promote even cooking.
