Ingredients
- aluminum foil
- 2 tilapia fillets
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
- 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
- freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 10 chives, cut in half
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter, cut into pieces
Instructions
1
Preheat your outdoor grill to extremely high heat, making sure it's scorching hot before proceeding.
2
To prevent the fillets from sticking to the grill, lightly brush the grates with oil.
3
Cut two large sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil into squares, approximately 12 inches by 12 inches.
4
Place each fillet on top of a piece of foil, making sure they're completely covered.
5
Sprinkle dill, salt, and pepper generously over the fillets to add flavor.
6
Add a layer of chives on top of each fillet, followed by a pat of butter.
7
Fold the foil over the fillets, creating loose packets that allow for steam to circulate freely.
8
Leave a small gap inside each packet, allowing the fillets to cook evenly and preventing steam from building up.
9
Place the packets on the preheated grill and cook for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the tilapia flakes easily with a fork.
