Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 3 cubes beef bouillon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons dried oregano
- 2 tablespoons dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
- 4 pounds rump roast
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil

Fill a large kettle with water, then add the bouillon cubes to it.

Combine salt, garlic, Italian seasoning, black pepper, oregano, basil, and red pepper flakes on a large plate.

Rub the roast with 1/2 cup of vegetable oil, making sure it's evenly coated.

Roll the roast in the seasoning mixture until it is thoroughly covered, then place any remaining seasoning on top of the roast.

Pour the water into the kettle and bring it to a rolling boil, after which you can reduce the heat and let it simmer for approximately 3 1/2 hours, or until the meat is tender and cooked through.
