  • 1 pound venison stew meat
  • 1 (6.8 ounce) package beef flavored rice mix
  • butter
  • water
  • 1 green bell pepper, seeded and sliced into strips
  • 1 red bell pepper, seeded and sliced into strips
  • 1 small onion, chopped

Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat, filling it with oil. Sear the venison in hot oil, stirring occasionally, until it develops a nice crust on the outside and is almost cooked through. Remove the venison from the skillet, allowing excess oil to drain off, and wipe the pan clean with a paper towel.

Combine the rice mix and butter in the same large skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the vermicelli is golden brown and fragrant. Gradually add water and seasoning packet; bring to a boil, then cover the skillet. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
