Hearty Turkey Noodle Soup

  • 3 turkey drumsticks
  • 3 quarts water
  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground dried sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 2 cups uncooked egg noodles

Combine turkey drumsticks with water in a large cooking vessel and heat until it reaches its boiling point. Introduce chopped onions, sliced carrots, diced celery, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, dried sage, thyme sprigs, and celery powder into the mixture; decrease heat to a low simmer. Cook until the turkey meat becomes extremely tender, approximately 2 hours.

Take out the drumsticks and let them cool down to a manageable temperature. Detach the meat from the bones and tendons, chop it into smaller pieces, and return it to the soup.

Prepare a large container with salted water and bring it to a vigorous boil. Cook egg noodles in the boiling water until they are fully cooked but still retain some firmness, about 5 minutes. Drain the noodles.

Spoon egg noodles into individual serving bowls and fill them with a generous amount of turkey soup.
