Hearty Six-Bean Stew
Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage
  • 1 (16 ounce) can pinto beans
  • 1 (4 ounce) can sliced jalapeno peppers
  • 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can yellow wax beans
  • 1 (16 ounce) can baked beans with pork
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle barbeque sauce
  • 1 (28 ounce) can peeled and diced tomatoes
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
Instructions
1
Begin by adding the sausage to a substantial, deep skillet and cook over a moderately high heat source until it is uniformly browned. Remove from the heat, drain excess moisture and crumble into smaller pieces for later use.
2
Next, preheat your oven to a medium-high temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
3
Subsequently, combine the cooked sausage with a medley of ingredients in a large, oven-safe container or Dutch oven. This mixture includes the cooked sausage, pinto beans, bell peppers, kidney beans, green beans, baked beans, barbecue sauce, chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, and brown sugar. Be sure to include the liquid from all of the canned ingredients as well.
4
Finally, bake the assembled mixture in the preheated oven for a duration of 60 minutes.
