Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package pork sausage
- cooking spray
- 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- ground black pepper to taste
- 2 (16 ounce) packages frozen cut green beans
- 1 (2.8 ounce) can French-fried onions
Instructions
1
Break up the pork sausage into a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook and stir constantly until it's uniformly browned on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside for later use.
2
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray to prevent food from sticking.
3
Combine the condensed soup, milk, soy sauce, garlic, and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Add the cooked sausage to the bowl and mix until it's fully incorporated. Then, add the green beans and stir until they're evenly coated with the mixture. Pour half of the green bean mixture into the prepared baking dish. Top it off with half of the fried onions. Spread the remaining green bean mixture over the onions, making sure to cover them evenly.
4
Put the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. After that, sprinkle the remaining fried onions over the top of the dish and return it to the oven. Continue baking until the onions are toasted and the green beans are cooked to your desired level of doneness, which should take an additional 5-10 minutes. Remove the dish from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
