Ingredients
- 1/2 pound bacon
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 (15 ounce) cans baked beans with pork
- 1/3 cup barbeque sauce
- 1 (7.5 ounce) package refrigerated biscuit dough
Instructions
1
Begin by cooking the bacon in a large skillet or Dutch oven over medium heat until it reaches an even, golden brown color. Remove the cooked bacon from the skillet and cut it into small, manageable pieces. Set these pieces aside for later use.
2
Next, add the hamburger and onion to the same skillet, cooking them until they are no longer pink and the onion is tender. Remove any excess liquid from the skillet.
3
Now, combine the cooked bacon, baked beans, and barbecue sauce with the ground beef in the skillet. Stir everything together until it reaches a boil.
4
Reduce the heat to a lower, more gentle temperature and carefully place the biscuits in a single layer on top of the mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid to trap the heat and allow the biscuits to cook.
5
Allow the mixture to simmer for approximately 10 minutes, or until the biscuits are cooked through. To serve, place two biscuits on each plate and spoon the bean mixture over the top of them.
