Healthy Turkey Cretons
Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1 1/2 cups water, divided
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/8 teaspoon sage
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package unflavored gelatin (such as Knox ®)

Combine ground turkey with 1 cup of water, finely chopped onion, a few whole cloves, dried sage leaves, and ground cinnamon in a medium-sized saucepan.

Bring the mixture to a rolling boil over high heat, then gradually decrease the heat and let it simmer for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally with a spoon to break down the ingredients; once done, remove it from the heat source.

Stir gelatin into the remaining 1/2 cup of water, making sure it's fully dissolved.

Gradually add the gelatin mixture to the turkey mixture, stirring well to combine.

Transfer the mixture to a small, airtight container and refrigerate until it reaches a cool temperature, approximately 1 hour.
