  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 8 slices crisp cooked bacon, crumbled

In a large pot over medium heat, sauté the finely chopped onion, celery, and carrots in oil until they start to lose their rigidity. Introduce the diced potatoes, clams, clam juice, fragrant thyme, a pinch of black pepper, and crispy bacon bits into the pot.
