- 8 large eggs, beaten

- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 (8 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
- 10 slices cooked bacon, chopped
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh chives, or to taste

Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 450 degrees Fahrenheit (230 degrees Celsius).

Place the 12 hash brown patties in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, allowing some to overlap slightly. Set aside the remaining patties for future use.

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and cook for 10 minutes, allowing the hash browns to start browning.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and use a spatula to gently press together the edges of each hash brown, helping them stick together slightly and cover the entire sheet. Return the baking sheet to the oven and continue cooking until the hash browns are golden and crispy, taking about 15 minutes longer.

While the hash browns are cooking in the oven, melt butter in a medium-sized non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add eggs, salt, and pepper to the skillet, then cook, stirring frequently, until the scrambled eggs are very soft, taking about 3 to 4 minutes. They will continue cooking in the oven.

Remove the hash browns from the oven and sprinkle with ¾ cup of Cheddar cheese. Top evenly with the soft scrambled eggs, followed by a sprinkle of bacon and remaining Cheddar cheese. Return the baking sheet to the oven until the cheese is melted, taking about 3 to 5 minutes longer.

Finally, sprinkle some chopped chives on top before cutting and serving your dish.
