Ham and Swiss Sliders
Ingredients
  • cooking spray
  • 1 (12 count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 (6 ounce) package thinly sliced deli ham
  • 3/4 pound shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons dried minced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
Instructions
1
Firstly, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius for those using metric measurements). Next, line a 9-inch square baking pan with aluminum foil and give it a light spritz of cooking spray to prevent sticking.
2
Now, take the attached rolls out of their packaging and use a serrated knife to make a horizontal cut through each roll, effectively separating them into two distinct slabs. Place the bottom slab into your prepared baking pan.
3
Following that, layer the bottom slab with half of the ham and all of the Swiss cheese. Then, add the remaining ham on top. Cover this with the top slab.
4
In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, mustard, poppy seeds, Worcestershire sauce, onion, salt, and pepper until they're thoroughly mixed.
5
Slowly pour this butter mixture over all the rolls, using a spatula to spread it evenly. Don't worry if some of it pools at the bottom - that's just part of the process.
6
Cover your baking pan with aluminum foil and let it sit at room temperature for 5 to 10 minutes.
7
Once you're ready, bake the covered pan in your preheated oven until the cheese has melted and reached a golden brown color, approximately 20 minutes.
8
Next, remove the foil and continue baking until the rolls are nicely browned on top, taking around 3 to 5 more minutes.
9
Finally, cut your sliders into individual portions and serve.
