Ham and Cheese Quiche
Ingredients
  • 1 (9 inch) refrigerated pie pastry
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour, divided
  • 1/2 cup diced cooked ham
  • 2 tablespoons honey mustard
  • 1 1/4 cups half-and-half
  • 5 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1
Collect all necessary components and preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
2
Place the pastry into a 9-inch pie plate and bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes. Use a fork to create small holes in the pastry and continue baking until it is lightly browned, approximately 5 minutes longer. Remove the crust from the oven and lower the temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
3
Combine 1/2 cup of Cheddar cheese, Swiss cheese, and 1 tablespoon of flour in a bowl; spread the mixture evenly over the warm pastry crust.
4
In another bowl, blend 1/2 cup of half-and-half, eggs, green onions, the remaining 1 tablespoon of flour, and salt until well combined.
5
Carefully pour this mixture over the ham layer; top with the remaining 1/2 cup of Cheddar cheese.
6
Bake in the preheated oven for 40 to 50 minutes, or until the center is set. Allow it to cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
