Ingredients
- 1/2 (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, or more to taste
- 7 slices deli ham
- 7 slices mild Cheddar cheese, or as needed
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit, or the equivalent of 190 degrees Celsius. To prevent sticking, place a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray.
2
Cover your countertop with a thin layer of flour to prevent the pastry from sticking. Unfold the puff pastry and stretch it out into a rectangular shape. Spread a thin layer of mustard evenly over the pastry, followed by a layer of Cheddar cheese slices, leaving a small border around the edges. Add a layer of thinly sliced ham on top.
3
Roll the puff pastry tightly into a cylindrical shape, similar to rolling out dough for a jelly roll. Slice the rolled pastry into thin slices, approximately 1/4 inch thick.
4
Arrange the sliced puff pastry on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Place the tray in the preheated oven, positioning it on the center rack.
5
Bake the pastry for 15 to 20 minutes, or until it is lightly browned and puffed up.
