Ingredients
- 1 (8 ounce) package medium pasta shells
- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen peas, thawed
- 1 cup diced Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 pound deli ham, diced
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Instructions
1
Begin by filling a large pot with water and adding a pinch of salt to it. Place the pot over high heat and bring the water to a rolling boil.
2
Once the water is boiling, carefully add the shell pasta to it. Continue to cook the pasta for 10-11 minutes, or until it reaches a tender yet still slightly firm texture. Remove the pasta from the water with a slotted spoon and drain it in a colander.
3
To make the salad, combine the frozen peas, shredded Cheddar cheese, diced ham, chopped onion, mayonnaise, vegetable oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice, salt, and black pepper in a spacious bowl. Add the cooked pasta to the bowl and gently stir everything together until the pasta is evenly coated with the salad dressing.
4
Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and refrigerate it in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours before serving.
