Ham and Cabbage Noodles
Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 (2 pound) cabbage, cored and coarsely chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) package potato gnocchi
  • 2 cups cubed fully cooked ham
  • salt and black pepper to taste

Preheat a large skillet over medium heat by melting butter, then sauté sliced onions and minced garlic until they become tender and pale, approximately 5 minutes. Introduce chopped cabbage into the skillet and stir constantly until it has lost its crunch, roughly 20 minutes.

Concurrently, prepare a large pot by filling it with salted water and bringing the liquid to a vigorous boil over high heat. Cook dumplings in boiling water until they rise to the surface, around 3 minutes; then drain excess water.

Combine cooked gnocchi and diced ham with the cabbage mixture, stirring until everything is well combined. Heat through by adding a pinch of salt and black pepper to taste
