- 1 (10 ounce) package frozen broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups diced cooked ham
- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 4 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Heat your oven to the temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius).

Take broccoli and place it in a clear glass container. Cover the container with plastic film to prevent moisture from escaping during cooking.

Cook the broccoli in short intervals of 1 minute using your microwave oven until it is heated evenly throughout, approximately 5 minutes. Remove the broccoli from the microwave and set it aside.

Put butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Allow the butter to melt and then sauté chopped onion in it until it becomes slightly transparent, about 5 minutes. Introduce diced ham into the mixture and combine with the cooked onion.

Transfer the onion-ham mixture to a pie crust.

Mix together shredded cheese, milk, eggs, and black pepper in a medium-sized bowl. Pour the mixture over the ham mixture inside the crust. Sprinkle some paprika on top.

Place the pie in a preheated oven and bake until a knife inserted into its center comes out clean, taking about 30 to 45 minutes.
