Grouper with Crab and Shrimp Sauce
Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Creole mustard
  • 2 (6 ounce) cans crabmeat, drained and flaked
  • 1 (4 ounce) can small shrimp, drained
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 pounds grouper fillets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven's broiler and prepare a medium-sized baking dish by covering it with aluminum foil.
2
Melt butter and heavy cream together in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning. Add Creole mustard and continue cooking until the mixture thickens, giving it a rich consistency.
3
Combine the cooked crab and shrimp with the saucepan mixture, adding Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper to taste. Continue cooking until heated through, allowing the flavors to meld together.
4
Place the grouper fillets in the prepared baking dish and brush them with olive oil, a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, and some chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper to enhance the flavors.
5
Place the baking dish under the broiler and cook for approximately 4 minutes on each side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork. Remove from the oven and spoon the crab and shrimp mixture over the top of the fish, serving immediately.
