Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 3/4 cup sour cream, or more to taste
- 1 tablespoon liquid smoke, or to taste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
1
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and melt the butter until it's fully incorporated. Next, add sliced mushrooms and chopped onions to the skillet and cook over medium-high heat until they're softened and translucent, approximately 5 minutes.
2
Then, add the ground beef to the skillet and cook while stirring constantly until it's browned and crumbly, taking around 5 to 7 minutes.
3
After that, sprinkle a mixture of flour, garlic powder, seasoning salt, paprika, and pepper over the beef and stir until well combined.
4
Following that, add a can of condensed soup, sour cream, liquid smoke, and Worcestershire sauce to the skillet. Stir everything together.
5
Finally, reduce the heat of the stove to medium and continue cooking the mixture while stirring constantly until it thickens, approximately 5 to 7 minutes.
