  • 2 1/2 cups egg noodles
  • 1/2 cup sour cream, plus more for serving
  • 2 tablespoons fresh sliced chives or green onions

Heat the butter and oil in a large skillet over an elevated heat setting, approximately medium-high. Introduce sliced mushrooms into the skillet and sprinkle with salt, stirring occasionally until they achieve a golden brown hue, taking around 5 to 10 minutes.

Add sliced onions and ground beef to the skillet. Stir constantly until the meat becomes browned and crumbly, while the onions soften and become translucent, approximately 5 minutes. Add a pinch of black pepper and cayenne to enhance the flavor.

Introduce minced garlic into the mixture, along with a tablespoon of flour. Cook for 1 minute to allow these ingredients to blend.

Pour in vodka and permit it to evaporate, approximately 30 seconds.
