Grilled Turkey Reuben
Ingredients
  • 10 ounces sliced deli turkey meat
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 4 slices marble rye bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 tablespoons Thousand Island dressing, or to taste
Instructions
1
Place the turkey breast on a microwave-safe plate, ensuring it is secure and won't move around during cooking.
2
Place the sauerkraut in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it separately in the microwave for 30 seconds, allowing it to warm through.
3
Take a generous amount of butter and spread it evenly onto one side of each slice of rye bread. Position the bread slices on a clean work surface with their buttered sides facing downwards.
4
Spread a thick layer of Thousand Island dressing onto the top surface of each bread slice.
5
Divide the warmed sauerkraut evenly between two slices of bread, followed by a layer of 1/2 the turkey breast and 1/2 the Swiss cheese. Flip over the remaining two bread slices to create the sandwiches.
6
Heat a large skillet over medium-low heat, allowing it to reach the desired temperature.
7
Carefully place the sandwiches into the hot skillet and cook until the bread is lightly browned and the cheese is melted, taking about 3 minutes per side to achieve the perfect result.
