Grilled Steak Salad
Ingredients
  • 1 3/4 pounds beef sirloin steak
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 8 cups romaine lettuce - rinsed, dried, and torn into bite-size pieces
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 small green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, sliced
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion
  • 1/4 cup sliced pimento-stuffed green olives
Instructions
1
Heat up your outdoor grill to its highest temperature setting and lightly brush the grilling surface with a thin layer of oil.
2
Place the steak on the preheated grill and cook for 3 to 5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your preferred level of doneness. Once cooked, remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for a few minutes until it has cooled down enough to be handled safely. Slice the steak into smaller, manageable pieces.
3
In a small bowl, combine olive oil, vinegar, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, salt, and pepper in a smooth blend. Stir in the pungent flavor of blue cheese until well incorporated, then cover and refrigerate to allow the flavors to meld together.
4
Arrange a selection of crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, crunchy peppers, carrots, onions, and briny olives onto chilled plates. Place a portion of the steak on top and finish with a drizzle of the creamy dressing, carefully crafted to bring all the flavors together.
