Grilled Marinated Rib-Eyes
Ingredients
  • 4 (1/2 pound) rib-eye steaks
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder, or to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 3/4 cups Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • Vegetable oil for brushing grill
Instructions
1
Prepare the steak by sprinkling a blend of savory spices - including garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper - evenly onto its surface.
2
Place the ingredients of Worcestershire sauce and brown sugar in a large, zip-top container; close the lid and mix everything together thoroughly. Divide the marinade in half and pour one portion into another container of the same size; place two steaks inside each bag. Make sure they are fully coated with the marinade, then remove any air pockets and seal the bags tightly.
3
Store the marinated steaks in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes.
4
Heat up an outdoor grill to extremely high temperatures and lightly brush the grates with oil.
5
Pour the remaining marinade from the bags into a small saucepan and bring it to a boil over high heat. Cook for 3-4 minutes, then set the saucepan aside.
6
Place the steaks on the preheated grill and cook to your desired level of doneness, approximately 7 minutes per side. During the final 5 minutes of cooking time, frequently baste the steaks with the boiled marinade.
7
To ensure the steak reaches a safe internal temperature, insert an instant-read thermometer into its center and check that it reads 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium doneness.
