Ingredients
- 1 pound ground lamb
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 4-inch sprig rosemary, chopped
- 4 sprigs thyme, chopped
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted
- 4 thick slices tomato
- 1 cup baby mixed salad greens
Instructions
1
Prepare the outdoor grill for a medium heat setting and lightly coat the grates with oil to prevent sticking.
2
Combine ground lamb, garlic powder, dried rosemary leaves, thyme, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl until everything is well incorporated.
3
Form the mixture into 4 uniform patties.
4
Place the patties on the preheated grill and cook until they are solid and have a slight pinkish hue in the center, approximately 5 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should register a temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit (60 degrees Celsius). Alternatively, you can cook the patties to your preferred level of doneness. Allow the patties to rest while assembling toppings.
5
Blend mayonnaise and mustard in a small bowl until smooth.
6
Apply 1 tablespoon of the mixture to the bottom of each hamburger bun; place a lamb patty, a slice of tomato, and some lettuce leaves on top of the bun. Close the sandwich with the top bun to serve.
