Grilled Hawaiian Shrimp
Ingredients
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon pepper seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 2 pounds extra large shrimp (16-20), peeled and deveined, tail left on
  • 12 (10 inch) wooden skewers
Instructions
1
Combine mayonnaise, sugar, a blend of lemon-pepper seasoning and garlic for added depth, chopped parsley for freshness, and oyster sauce to enhance flavor in a large container or resealable pouch. Stir until the ingredients are harmoniously merged.
2
Add the protein of your choice, in this case, shrimp, and coat it evenly with the marinade. Remove any air pockets that may have formed during the mixing process and seal the container or pouch.
3
Place the container in the refrigerator to allow the flavors to meld together, ideally for a minimum of 1 hour or up to overnight.
4
Prepare your grill by preheating it to medium-high heat and lightly brush the grates with oil. Soak wooden skewers in water to prevent them from catching fire during cooking.
5
Once the shrimp have been removed from their marinade, gently shake off any excess to prevent a sticky situation. Discard the remaining marinade and proceed with threading the shrimp onto the skewers.
6
Place the shrimp on the preheated grill and cook until they turn pink and become firm to the touch, flipping them every 2 to 3 minutes on average.
