Grilled Greek Beef Patties
Ingredients
  • 1 1/3 pounds ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon plain yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices feta cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your outdoor grill to medium heat, ensuring it's suitable for indirect cooking. Lightly brush the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking.
2
Combine ground beef, plain yogurt, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix the ingredients until they're well combined, forming a uniform mixture. Divide the mixture into eight equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, approximately 2 to 3 inches in diameter.
3
Place two patties side by side on one slice of cheese, pressing the edges together to seal the filling. Repeat this process with the remaining patties and cheese.
4
Position the stuffed patties on the preheated grill, away from direct heat. Cover the grill and cook until the center of each patty reaches an internal temperature of at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C), and the cheese is melted, taking around 15 to 20 minutes.
