Grilled Glazed Ham
Ingredients
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup yellow mustard
  • 9 pounds fully-cooked, bone-in ham
Instructions
1
Preheat your grill to the optimal temperature of 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), ensuring it reaches this mark before proceeding.
2
Mix the brown sugar and mustard together in a bowl until they form a smooth, consistent paste. This will be the base of your glaze.
3
Place a large piece of heavy-duty aluminum foil on a flat surface. Position the ham in the center of the foil, making sure it is fully enclosed.
4
Spread the brown sugar paste evenly over the entire surface of the ham, covering every area. Fold the foil securely around the ham, ensuring all edges are sealed tightly to prevent any escape of heat or moisture.
5
Carefully place the wrapped ham into a disposable grill pan, taking care not to spill any of the glaze.
6
Place the ham on the preheated grill and cook until heated through, approximately 2 1/2 hours. To check for doneness, insert an instant-read thermometer into the center of the ham and verify that it reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
7
Remove the ham from the grill and allow it to rest for 30 minutes before slicing, allowing the juices to redistribute and the meat to become tender.
