  • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons soda water
  • 1 tablespoon seasoning blend (such as Vegeta®)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste

Preheat your oven to a high temperature, about 425 degrees Fahrenheit.\nCombine ground beef and veal in a large bowl with your hands or a wooden spoon. Add bread crumbs, finely chopped onion, beaten egg, soda water, and a blend of seasonings including paprika, garlic powder, salt, and red pepper flakes. Mix everything together until it's just combined. Be careful not to overmix the ingredients.\nDivide the mixture into small portions and shape each one into a compact sausage. Place these sausages on a sheet of parchment paper that has been placed on a baking sheet.\nPlace the sausages in the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are browned on all sides.
