Cilantro Lime Grilled Salmon

  • 1 bunch cilantro leaves, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 cups honey
  • juice from one lime
  • 4 salmon steaks
  • salt and pepper to taste

Heat a compact cooking vessel over a moderate-low flame, blending together the leaves of the coriander plant, the cloves of garlic, a sweet viscous liquid called honey, and the juice extracted from the limes. Allow this mixture to warm through until it is fluid enough to be stirred with a spoon, approximately 5 minutes.

Remove the vessel from the heat source and permit it to cool slightly.

Position the salmon steaks in a shallow serving container, and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Pour the previously prepared mixture over the salmon, cover the container, and refrigerate for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
