Grilled Cedar-Plank Salmon with Maple-Soy Glaze
Ingredients
  • 1 untreated cedar plank
  • 2 1/2 pounds boneless salmon fillet
  • 1 teaspoon coarse salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon lime zest
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives
  • 6 lemon wedges
Instructions
1
Immerse the cedar plank in water for 2 hours to make it soft and pliable.
2
Preheat your outdoor grill to medium-high heat, then lightly brush the grate with oil to prevent sticking. Place the cedar plank across the grill as it heats up.
3
Prepare the salmon fillet by sprinkling both sides with salt and pepper, then position it on the hot cedar plank skin-side down. Cover the grill with a lid and mix together maple syrup, soy sauce, melted butter, lime juice, and lime zest in a bowl. Brush the salmon with the glaze, and continue cooking until it flakes apart easily with a fork, taking around 10 minutes in total. Present the salmon garnished with chopped fresh chives and lemon wedges on the side.
